On the simplified admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation of citizens of Ukraine

On July 11, 2022, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the Decree "On Amendments to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 24, 2019 N 183" On the definition for humanitarian purposes of the categories of persons entitled to apply for admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation in simplified procedure."

In accordance with this Decree, citizens of Ukraine can apply for citizenship of the Russian Federation in a simplified manner, without prior registration of a temporary residence permit and a residence permit.

At the same time, citizens of Ukraine can apply for citizenship even if there is no registration on the territory of Russia.
